Meet Ups

One Cumbria Meet Ups are a chance for colleagues from across the county to come together, network, share great ideas and access professional development. Each session has a keynote speaker and structured time for colleagues to discuss the ideas shared with people from different settings.

Our next Meet Up is on Monday 17th November and we have two exciting keynote speakers who will share the findings of practitioner research carried out in Cumbrian schools last academic year. Our keynote speakers are:

  • Professor Geraldene Codina, University of Derby: Lesson Study: Adapting Teaching to Meet the Needs of Pupils with SEND
  • Professor Pete Boyd, University of Cumbria: Professional Inquiry: Promoting Deep Thinking across the Curriculum

The session will be hosted in person at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School from 4-6pm. There is also opportunity to come together with colleagues and watch the event live-streamed at St Bees Village Primary School and Ulverston Victoria High School.

The session content is suitable for colleagues from both primary and secondary contexts.

Please do share details of this event with colleagues in your school.
