As we draw towards the end of another extremely busy year for everyone working in education, I hope you can find some time to read through the following information:
INFORMATION FOR INDUCTION TUTORS
Registering an ECT for a September 23 start.
EXISITING SCHOOLS WITH A ONE CUMBRIA MOSAIC ACCOUNT:
We are now using self-registration for all new ECTs. Please complete both Mosaic and the DFE portal with details of any new ECTs and mentors.

DFE Portal: Sign in – Manage training for early career teachers (education.gov.uk)
The DFE portal is scheduled to open during the first week in July. You can complete Mosaic before this if you wish to do so.
IF YOU ARE A NEW SCHOOL TO ONE CUMBRIA AND DO NOT HAVE A MOSAIC ACCOUNT:
Please email Tina Beddoe at BEDDOET@onecumbria.education who will send you an Expression of Interest Form.
Once this form is returned and processed, One Cumbria will send you further details as to how to complete Mosaic and the DFE portal. Please do not complete the DFE portal before registering on Mosaic as this will miss a step in the registration process and cause difficulties onboarding your ECT and Mentor.
INFORMATION FOR MENTORS
If your ECT will be in their second year in September and you have not mentored at Year 2 before, please come to one of the Y2 Induction Sessions in July.

New Mentors in September will be invited to induction shortly.
Please be aware you do not have to complete the training a second time if you have already worked through our Mentor programme over the last two years. However you are more than welcome to attend any of the sessions.
Recognition for Mentors – Teach First have plans to produce Mentor badges for all those Mentors who have completed the mentor training. When I know more, I will let you know!
INFORMATION FOR EARLY CAREER TEACHERS
If you will be in your second year in September, please come along to one of the Y2 Induction Sessions in July.

If you began your induction in September 2021, you are nearing the end of the ECF programme and induction. Completion letters will be sent to schools in the last week of term, as long as your assessment form is submitted on Mosaic by the end of June.
ECT End Point Survey – Now Open
The ECT End Point Survey is now open on Brightspace for both 2021 and 2022 ECT cohorts.
ECTs will find the survey in Unit 1 of Module or Development Cycle 6, and will need to complete the survey before they are able to access the remainder of the module.
Feedback is a crucial part of our improvement planning. In the past significant changes have been implemented to the programme based on survey feedback and this input really is invaluable!
As such, please complete the survey – we want to know what is working, and what we could do better.
What is more ECTs, who have submitted the survey, will be entered into a prize draw to win one of two £50 Amazon vouchers per cohort.
