YEAR 1 INDUCTION
This information will be sent to all ECTs and Mentors who are registered for a September 23 start:
Year 1 induction is mandatory for all ECTs and Mentors new to the ECF. If you have mentored on the Teach First ECF programme and attended the Y1 induction previously, you do not need to attend again. However, you are more than welcome to attend if you would to refresh your understanding.
These take place in person at Rheged, Penrith on 11th and 18th September 2023. There is a virtual conference , held via Zoom on 25th September 2023. Each session delivers the same material, so you only need to attend one date.

SEMINAR DELIVERY 2023/24
We are moving all Year 1 and Year 2 seminars and training to in-person delivery. There will be the option of some virtual sessions, but we are encouraging everyone to develop their networks and attend the in-person events.
Dates for Year 2 are being shared at the Y2 induction and are attached here: Year 2 ECT seminar flier and Year 2 Mentor Seminar flier
Year 1 dates will be shared at induction.
Y2 ECTS COMPLETING INDUCTION
Please ensure the final assessment report is submitted for approval, with the headteacher logging in and completing their comment. We are ready to sign off the vast majority of our first cohort of ECTs, (September 21 starters) and their completion letters will be sent to school, by the end of term, if assessments have been submitted by the end of June. Any late submissions will receive their completion letters in the Autumn term.
SUMMER BREAK
I will be checking emails intermittently over the summer break, but please be aware that this will not be as regularly as during term time.
Finally, can I thank each and every one of you for your support over the last year. I have had a fantastic year meeting and working with wonderful ECTs and Mentors, as well as yourselves.
